Pigments in Cyanobacteria

Pigments in Cyanobacteria:-

> The principal pigments are chlorophylls a (green), c-phycocyanin (blue) and c-phyco- erythrin (red). 

> In addition, other pigments like β-carotene and different xanthophylls like myxoxanthin and myxoxanthophyll are also present.
